The Knights of Columbus (KofC) Our Lady of Good Hope Council #4587 has initiated a Faith based program known as Building the Domestic Church that will benefit, enrich, and inspire our Catholic community.
This Faith program will help strengthen the domestic church (our families) by providing exceptional religious education materials to all Catholics. The Building of the Domestic Church Kiosk will be available in the Our Lady of Good Hope Parish vestibule in January 2023. Our Lady of Good Hope KofC Men’s Fellowship meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month and discusses continuing education and activities for our parish community.

Pastor:
Father Martin E. Fox
Parochial Vicars:
To be more effective together in worship, sharing our Catholic faith, and meeting the needs of our parishioners and our communities, five full-time leadership staff positions will be created and filled over the coming months to serve St. Henry, Our Lady of Good Hope, and St. Mary.
The five new positions to serve the family of parishes are:
All current employees of the three parishes, as well as Bishop Leibold School, along with the public at large, are invited to apply for these positions. The job descriptions, and information on how to apply for them, will be provided at all parish offices, and the school office, today, and will be posted on all parish websites in the next 24 hours. The goal is to fill all positions by June.
++JOB DESCRIPTIONS++
The new Director of Operations will replace three business manager positions, but many duties of the existing business managers will be assigned to other staff members. The family of three parishes, and Bishop Leibold School, will share two full-time bookkeepers.
Similarly, taking the place of three directors of religious education will be a Director of Faith Formation, who will be supported by two assistants. All responsibilities regarding youth programs, religious education, the initiation of adults and children into the Catholic faith (e.g., RCIA), and safe environment protocols will be assigned to this department.
“The long-term goal of Beacons of Light is to become an evangelizing community. The Director of Faith Formation will help the pastor invite all our members, and all our communities, to discover and rediscover Jesus Christ,” Fox explained.
A new Director of Care will oversee all the ways our parishes provide Christ’s love in action to those in hospitals, senior and nursing facilities, those facing financial need, or personal crises. This staff member will be a liaison to parish and community social service and advocacy organizations and will make sure our family of parishes has a strong apostolic, outward focus – something Pope Francis has emphasized as a part of inviting people to share our faith.
A new Director of Involvement and Engagement will organize and develop opportunities for every parishioner to volunteer, to share his or her talents and gifts as part of the many faith-sharing and service apostolates of the parishes. This person will be assisted by a communications coordinator, and they will oversee the bulletin, newsletters, websites, and public information, and seek new means of communication. These tasks are essential to strengthening every parishioner’s engagement in the life of the parish and assisting their personal growth.
A new Director of Worship will support the needs for Sunday and daily Mass, weekly exposition of the Eucharist, and many other opportunities for corporate and personal prayer and devotion. This person will help recruit, train, and provide ongoing support for musicians, readers, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, and others who take leadership roles.
