▶CLOW is not child care. It is liturgy. Participants should be doing the same things that the rest of the assembly are doing, adapted to their own level. Our purpose is not simply to entertain them but to help them pray well.
▶ CLOW is not a catechetical session. It is liturgy, not a classroom setting. The focus should be on the Word.
▶ CLOW is not about arts & crafts or handouts. It is liturgy. While some kinds of activities could help children understand and engage the Word better, they are not the main focus of this time.

2022-23 update:
CURRENTLY WE DO NOT HAVE AN ADULT LEADER or LEADERS
CLOW meets Sundays at the
8:30 AM Mass and will resume in September.
Liturgy of the Word with Children is a worship experience tailored for children ages 4 through 2nd Grade and is offered Sundays during the 8:30 am Sunday Mass, from September through May.
As baptized members of our community, children have the right to hear the Word of God, but sometimes the vocabulary used in the readings during Mass prevents them from receiving the message.
The children hear Scripture readings taken from the Lectionary for Masses with Children which are worded for easier comprehension. Participants are also encouraged to share their own understanding of the readings.
After the Prayer of the Faithful, all return to the main assembly to join in celebrating the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Registration is not required. All are invited to join the group when the priest calls the children forward.
