Deacon Rick was ordained in the Archdiocese of Denver June 10, 2000. He completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Psychology from Regis University and the Diaconate Formation from St Francis School of Theology for Deacons, St John Vianney Seminary, Denver Colorado. In March 2003 Rick and Jan moved back to Ohio (after leaving the state in 1971) for a new job at Wright-Patterson AFB; and he was accepted into the Archdiocese of Cincinnati with full faculties and assigned to Our Lady of Good Hope Parish. Rick is retired from the United States Air Force (1989) and Civil Service (DFAS) in 2012. Married to Jan for 44 years and a father of three, now adults and in their own careers in other states, Rick devotes his time to Diaconal Ministry. A Volunteer Professional Chaplin for Dayton Hospice Rick continues to minister to both parishes: Our Lady of Good Hope and St Henry. Jan and Rick are looking forward to doing retired “things”. Travel, reading, and cooking are some of his favorite free time activities.
